Herbed Buttermilk Biscuits

We are all rushed for time when it comes to making dinner some days. And when needed we use quick mixes and time savers. One of my favorite time savors is biscuit mix, just add in a few fresh herbs and these become a perfect weeknight treat!

Full time 30 minutes
Makes 4 large or 6 small biscuits

The needs-

2 cups biscuit mix
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup butter melted
1 tbsp fresh thyme
1 tbsp fresh oregano
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder

The know-

Preheat your oven to 450' and place a cast-iron biscuit pan inside to heat up. If not using cast-iron do not preheat baking sheet.

Rough chop herbs into a mixing bowl. I like to squish them in my fingers to get the oils flowing.

Add in garlic and onion.

Add in milk and mix to form a nice dough.

Spray cast-iron with cooking spray or a baking sheet and divide into 4-6 mounds.

Bake 10 minutes and then carefully brush surface with half the melted butter.

Return to oven for 5-10 minutes or until biscuits feel slightly firm to the touch.

Brush with remaining butter and let cool in pan 5 minutes before serving.
