Cantonese Baked Chicken


I love Cantonese flavors, they are robust and sweet. Here is an easy chicken recipe which represents the flavors perfectly. This also makes a great stir fry style chicken if desired.

Full time 1 1/2 hours
Serves 4

The needs-

4-6 chicken thighs, skinless
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

The know-

Preheat oven to 350'

In a baking dish arrange chicken in a single layer.

In a small bowl place honey and heat in microwave 30 seconds.

Add ketchup, soy sauce, and lemon juice into the honey and whisk to combine.

Pour mixture over chicken.

Sprinkle across pepper flakes and cayenne pepper.

Bake in oven for 60-75 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked through.

Remove from oven and move to serving platter.
