MAKE IT: IHOP Cake Style Flavored Pancakes

The International House of Pancakes, IHOP, is known for thier ever rotating menu of flavorful fun pancakes. From Cinnabon to Dr. Seuss these pancakes are light, airy, and sweet. Made from a more cake batter than traditional pancake batter, this style pancake can be made from any flavor combination you desire! Try my family favorites: red velvet, devils food, and yummy lemon poppy seed!

Full time 20-30 minutes (depends on how many you can cook at a time)
Makes 18 small or 12 large pancakes

The needs-

1 box cake mix (I am using devils food)
2 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk, room temperature
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

The know-

Preheat your griddle or pan at medium high heat.

In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Whisk in cake mix and flour, whisking well to create a lump free smith batter.

On hot griddle melt a tiny bit of butter or spray with cooking spray.

Lower to medium once butter is melted.

Pour roughly 1/4 cup of batter onto hot surface and let cook 3-4 minutes or until edges begin to brown.

Carefully flip over and cook an additional 3-4 minutes.

Remove to serving platter and continue with remaining batter, cheers!
