MAKE IT: Boursin Herbed Cheese Spread

Boursin cheese spreads is very popular, probably the most popular cheese spread in the market. You see them served as appetizers along with crackers, breads, and vegetables.

Since cheese spread is actually just created by blending several soft cheese with a cream product, it is actually easier to do then expected. Start by using a blend of cream cheese, farmers cheese, or Labneh cheese and this will take no time at all! I recommend making your own Labneh, it will make the process take longer but the outcome will be better.

Boursin is the most popular cheese spread I know of. So I developed this recipe based on their flavor.

Yields approximately 3 cups spread
Full time: 1 hour 15 minutes (includes 1 hour chill time)

The needs-

1/2 lb. Labneh or Farmers cheese
1/2 lb. (1 package) cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried dill weed
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

The know-

Make sure all cheeses are softened to room temp.

In a small bowl combine cheeses and sour cream until smooth.

Add in the herbs and spices.

Blend until fully mixed.

Transfer to serving bowl or storage container.

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to set. Cheers!
