MAKE IT: Fruit Dip/Vanilla Yogurt Sauce

Ever wonder what goes into the fruit dip you get when you buy a fruit tray at the grocery store? Or the little packet of dip in your fast food fruit and yogurt tray? It is actually a very simple blend of 3 ingredients (4 if you use plain yogurt and vanilla beans).

You can easily make it in under five minutes and serve it for dessert with fresh fruit in under ten. The next time you have last minute company, want a fun lunch snack, or have no desire to pay $5 for something you can make for a lot less, give this one a try!

This makes approximately 2 cups dip
Full time: 10 minutes (includes set time)

You will need:

4 ounces plain cream cheese
1 cup vanilla yogurt (or plain and 1 tsp vanilla extract)
1/3 cup brown sugar

Let us begin:

In a small bowl, place the cream cheese. Using a butter knife whip/whisk the cream cheese until smooth. It will take a few minutes.

Blend in the brown sugar for a few moments.

Blend in the yogurt until completely mixed.

Move the bowl to the refrigerator for 8 minutes and let it set. You are now ready to serve and enjoy!
